TRANSLATION
The Beth Din has an official translation service for official documents required by law. Documents should be brought in 2 days in advance of the required translation.
A fee of $50.00 per page is charged for this service.
MARRIAGE DOCUMENTATION
People who are getting married in foreign countries or in Israel require specific marriage documentation prior to going through the religious service. This document is provided by the Beth Din of Montreal. The document includes information pertaining to the Jewishness of the individual concerned, as well as information pertaining to the individual's birthplace and facts pertaining to a previous marriage, if one took place.
A fee of $50.00 for this document is charged for this service.
When requesting this documentation, the following information must be supplied:
a) original birth certificate
b) copy of passport
c) details of current address
d) letters from 2 Rabbis, confirming their knowledge of the individual concerned
INHERITANCE
The Beth Din convenes hearings for cases of personal status as well as inheritance. As is often required by law in Israel, a document pertaining to a will, must be signed infront of a Beth Din (3 judges).
A charge of $100.00 is levied for this fee. |
